Alvin Soprano has released her latest machinima short, Bone-Skinny, yesterday on February 14, 2025.
The new film is available for streaming on her YouTube channel, Soprano Productions, and delves into the dark and disturbing consequences of an obsession with body image.
Bone-Skinny follows the story of Chloe Winson, a woman who is desperate to lose weight. After struggling with her self-image, she decides to try a new herbal supplement called “MagicSlim.” Overnight, Chloe wakes up thinner, her body seemingly transformed. However, as the pounds vanish, she begins to notice an eerie and shadowy presence creeping closer. Chloe soon realizes that her dream body is coming at a horrifying cost, and the consequences of her decision may be more than she can bear.
The film stars Scarlett Marianna Barnes as Chloe Winson, who voices the central character. Silvio Castiglione voices the telemarketer who introduces Chloe to the “MagicSlim” supplement, while Alvin Soprano herself provides the voice for Ophelia, a mysterious character who plays a role in Chloe’s transformation.
Bone-Skinny is the fourth machinima short released by Alvin Soprano since she relaunched her YouTube channel on December 13, 2024. The first of these films, Goodbye Mommy, marked Soprano’s return to machinima filmmaking after a three year period of hiatus. Following that, she released Rest in Pieces and Drained. With Bone-Skinny, Soprano continues to explore psychological horror, suspense, and character-driven narratives that are central to her machinima style.
Written and directed by Soprano, Bone-Skinny showcases her continued interest in creating eerie, thought-provoking stories using digital animation and voice acting.
